The Director of Quality Assurance & Accreditation

Dr. Noorajan Atif is the Director of the Quality Assurance & Accreditation Center at Paktia University where he has been a lecturer since 2009. Dr. Atif completed his Ph.D. in Education Studies at the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, India. His Master’s Degree is in Education (M.Ed TESOL) from the University of Indiana in partnership with Kabul Education University. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Pashto Language and Literature from Shaikh Zayed University in Khost Afghanistan.

He teaches Research Methodology, Teaching Methodology, and Language Teaching Methodology. He has also organized workshops on lesson plans, quality teaching, teaching-learning materials preparation, and educational research for academics and professionals. From 2010-12 he was the Head of the Pashto Department in the Faculty of Education, Paktia University. Dr. Atif was also an ESP (English for Specific Purposes) Instructor at Kabul Education University, English Department 2013-2014. His research interests span classroom instruction, continuous professional development (CPD), and teacher education. He is a member of the University Academic Board and a member of other committees both at Faculty and  University levels. He is also a member of some academic associations, namely the CASE Researchers’ Forum (Center of Advanced Studies in Education) MSU, Baroda, India, ICCR Funded Student Alumni Association, and Afghan Scholars’ Association in India. Dr. Atif is the author and co-author of a number of articles published in national and international journals. He has also presented his research articles at international conferences.
