Intensive semester exams started at Paktia University on Wednesday.

The ceremony was attended by Paktia University President Prof. Obaidullah Akhundzada, Special Representative Qazi Abdul Wahed Himmat, Academic Vice Chancellor Prof. Saif-ur-Rehman Rohi, Deputy Student Affairs Prof. Naqibullah Zazi and members of the examination committee.

At the beginning, a few verses from the Holy Quran were recited. Lately, the president of the Paktia University insisted that the the students and teachers should fully observe the discipline and transparence of the examinations.

Addressing the students, the dean of the university said: "They are in a relaxed atmosphere and have passed their exams without any fear or apprehension and wished them success in the exams."
