The Academic Council's meeting was held under the leadership of Chancellor, Mr. Obaidullah Akhundzada, in Paktia University. 

The participants of the meeting were Deputies, Deans of Faculties, Heads of Departments, and Lecturers. Ordinarily, the meeting was initiated with recitation of Holly Quran. 

At the beginning, Mr. Akhundzadah welcomed the participants. Besides, he requested from deans of Faculties to gear up thoroughly for the next spring semester. He stated that attendance to the job on time is compulsory for all professors and officials. He requested all of the members of the Academic Council to attend the Council's meeting on time.

After that, the Council's Clerk shared information about proceeding of the plans and decisions of the previous Council's meeting. In addition, the Vice-chancellor for Academic Affairs discussed about formation of committees and coordination of affairs. 

Some issues were discussed such as coordination of departments' affairs, recruitment and promotion of lecturers, and so on, in respect of agenda. Also, certain deliberate decisions were made about some issues. 

At the end, Mawlawi Muhammad Khan Rohani finalized the meeting with invocation.
